I was extremely pleased with my dining experience and had an excellent time celebrating my anniversary with my wife. Upon walking in we could tell this space was special. The atmosphere, decor, and staff are highly professional, and inviting. The food was amazing. Our waiter Jesse had a great attitude, sense of humor, and paid attention to detail which made the evening special and enjoyable. I highly recommend Mastro's and will be returning.
Ambiance & Decor: 4.5 stars – Classic Mastro’s vibe. Big, dramatic, and elegant with a lively bar and piano setting the mood. Service: 5 stars – Mike was the highlight of the night… friendly, funny, and genuinely made the experience better. Food: 3.5 stars – Good overall, but they’ve apparently never met a sauce they didn’t like. Drinks: 4 stars – Solid cocktail list, fits the upscale steakhouse setting. Value / Overall: 4 stars – Fun night out, but definitely more sauce than substance. Final Score: 4 out of 5 stars Still a great night, but someone needs to hide the ladle. Mastro’s was one of those nights where the setting said wow but the food said whoa, that’s a lot of sauce. The restaurant itself is stunning; huge, lively, with that signature Mastro’s glam. The bar is beautiful, complete with live piano music that makes you feel like you’re in a movie scene where everyone’s pretending to have deep conversations. Our waiter, Mike, deserves his own round of applause. Friendly, fun, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great night. Honestly, he’s the reason this review didn’t dip to 3 stars. Now, onto the food aka the great sauce saga. The tiger shrimp entrée was good but swimming in sauce and a little tough. The scallops? They were… fine, but came covered in sauce on top of more sauce, next to a side of cheesy toast that felt like flavor overkill. Someone in the kitchen clearly said “more” one too many times. The lobster bisque was solid; creamy and well-balanced. Loved that they split it for us in the kitchen, a classy touch. But the real star of the show was the seared tuna appetizer. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Easily the best thing we ordered and a great recommendation from Mike. Overall, Mastro’s delivers on atmosphere and service, but the food could use a little less flair and a little more faith in the ingredients. If they trust their flavors half as much as they trust their sauces, it could easily be five stars.
The food and service here is always superb. Nothing is left wanted and they always make a point to help you feel special for birthday celebrations! (They print happy birthday on the menus and give a free butter cake!)
First time at Mastro's and it was fantastic! The food was amazing (definitely need to try their Seafood Tower!) All the way to the sin pie (chocolate decadence!) Can't wait to come back!
The very best wedding anniversary dinner or any dinner ever… thanks to Duke, Emma, and actually all the other staff at Mastro’s. We have never been treated with such care & kindness as these people exhibited in our lifetimes. Kyle Bankston as Manager has inherited Superlative people like Duke, who has been there for 25 years, and Kyle’s newer hires like Emma and the hostesses who represent the finest employees possible. Every morsel of food from the starters to the final desserts was exceptional, as were the specialty drinks my lovely wife of 35 years ordered, aided with discovery by Duke. We could not fault ANY aspect of personal service, atmosphere, or the presentation, quality, taste, & texture of our meals. The thoughtfulness exhibited throughout was outstanding also, we were given a copy of our evenings menu with the heading “ Happy 35th Anniversary “. We will never ever forget the finest experience in awesome dining surrounded with the finest in professional caring service. We were treated as Royalty, quite an eye opening event overall. It is my privilege to thank Mastro’s, Kyle, Duke, Emma, and the others for an evening to cherish.
Food: Everyone loved their choices; pork chop, branzino & crab legs Service: One of the best, if not the best. Thank you! Atmosphere: Classy, dim-lit restaurant with a modern edge steakhouse and seafood $$$$ Noteworthy: I received a call from the restaurant the next day to say thank you for choosing Mastro's for our dining experience, wow, next level customer service.
